Relax if possible. I have recently had a three day event but fine now. As long as you feel fairly ok (no cold sweat, extreme breathlessness, nausea, fainting, chest pain) you don’t need to do anything, but up to you if you feel very anxious 💜

Try and think back to see if you had done anything different yesterday which may have caused the episode to occur. Try deep breathing, maybe a slow easy walk or anything else which may create a diversion because as we all know, the more anxious you get, the less likely the episode will pass. Apart from that, I guess you have two real options. If the symptoms are causing you grief or you are experiencing any chest pain then go to A&E. You could go there anyway but from what we hear, they tend to leave you alone for several hours to see if the situation improves and you could do that in the comfort of your own home. It’s possible they may carry out a cardioversion which would be great but I don’t think that happens unless you are in a bad way. The second is to speak to your GP and he may instigate a referral. I haven’t checked your history, but if you have had an ablation then it would certainly be worth making your EP aware or making contact with the Arrhythmia Nurse where you were treated. Hope things improve soon…….

What sort of rate are you in? Unless it us particularly fast, you are experiencing chest pain and/or breathlessness try to ride it out a bit longer.
