Sorry Marney but I don't know the word sparatic, do you mean sporadic? Finger trouble?
I would say that few BP machines are remotely accurate if you are in AF either for BP or rate so rather than worry unnecessarily why not speak to your doctor and get some proper data.
Yes, I hope the machine is more the problem. However I can’t see cardiologist until end of sept, even then probably just on the phone. Losing a lot of sleep, but I guess it’s the way it is. I do feel I need a med adjustment.I think I will at least try to get my appt sooner.
Just to echo Bob’s comment. Your BP will shoot up and down in AF and those readings would be good for me! It’s not great to have your BP permanently below 90 systolic but it will vary inevitably. Go by how you feel, if your BP is too low you may have symptoms such as feeling lightheaded - then go see your doctor.
Otherwise - you know that you need to work on your stress and worry because that only makes things a whole lot worse.
Thank you for your reply. It is always comforting to hear from everyone when I get worried about my afib .Hopefully I can get a appt sooner with my cardiologist, but here in Canada it is getting tough to even get an appt at all. ( pandemic woes have change everything)
I’m afraid it’s not just in Canada, that would apply but also to UK but can depend upon which area you live in. At least in UK we do have the private care route as an option, not always quicker but often more responsive.
Thank you for your comments mav7. I suppose I will need to tough it out till appt at end of sept. I hate this returning after a long good spell. 17 years is a long time to be waiting for the other shoe to drop.At least it’s not as severe as before I had my ablations.
