Bp and af after vaccine

I have perm af, af, hbp. you and it. but this about the vaccine. after First one. heart was all over the place for a little bit, second one, afib up to 105, blood pressure up an down, this lasted for a couple of hours. april 8 was my second. I have bees diagnosed wit HF 45 ej. a couple days ago I went to the er on drs orders, normal HR, the night before, woke up 4:30 am with chest pains and back pain, which I think I have had before, went back to sleep, finally up about noon. bp up and down, dio 2 something, sys 1 something, bouncing back and forth. never had bp that high. cardio said go to er for work up, sounded like maybe heart attack. in the er afib back and forth to 135 and bp still bouncing back up and down, tried three different bp meds and diltiazem. finally after a few hours back down. didn’t add any meds to my already list I’ve been previously taking. makes me weary about the vaccine. never did that before. not that high. scary. any one with these issues after vaccine? Have had lots of issues in the past but not like this except after the vaccine

I had zero problems with either of my jabs other than slightly sore arm. Some people here have said their AF more active in first few days after jab but I would have thought since April should be fine by now.

How high did your BP get? Are you consistently in heart failure? Do you know your pO2?

Same as with BobD's comments really.

I had Astra Zeneca on 29 Jan 2021 - BP = 128/68, HR 61 average over 24 hours after jab. Slept for England for those 24 hours.

2nd Astra Zeneca on 23 April - BP = 129/74, HR68 average over 24 hrs after jab. Still a bit sleepy but nowhere near as bad as 1st jab.

I have a diagnosis of paroxysmal AF with a tendency to be asymptomatic, been with me for 11 years. All well controlled with meds and diet.

I live in Italy, age 75, I have permanent AF, I had the Astrazeneca vaccine on the 10 April, and had rapid heart beat for 48 hours plus the things they warn you to expect (headache, slight temperature etc) and generally felt unwell for 3 weeks, the booster shot is due on 3 July .

No one knows what these vaccines can and will do. I had the Moderna as well as my partner. He and I both had our blood pressure up and down. His for a couple days. Mine for a few days longer. I also had more palpitations than usual. It's nice that some people had no or few or mild side effects. They need to remember not all people are alike. And that there is still much not known about these vaccines. It's why the USA and I believe the UK have websites to report side effects.I hope eventually you will feel better. Take care.
