Hi all, I saw a post not long ago about watches that did your steps, calories, heart etc.....I seem to have lost it, as I wanted to know what conclusions were made.

Was there a watch reasonably priced that you dint have to fiddle and have a degree in software to use, as in something simple!

This post not Afib related guys! But Afib relatedin as much as upping excersise and losing a bit more weight as in good for Afib.....so related in that way! Grin!

Hi Morzine I have an Apple watch 4 which records steps, heart rate that you can be set to tell you if your heart is over a certain rate, or below. It records lot of other things too which I find useful, heart health and general fitness. It also records an ECG and records if you have a fall. I have used the ECG but also have a Kardia so am covered from all angles! Hope that helps.

PS the cost of 6 months subscription is well worth the money it may save you to ensure you get the watch that suits you as prices go from £20 - £500. Which one works with your smart phone is often the deciding factor.

Sorry Foxglove - meant to reply to myself…..

Depends what you mean by reasonable and how much you have to spend and what you want it to do. If you don’t want all the bells and whistles then plenty of choice - personally I am a member of Which Consumer Organisation and they do frequent pros and cons of various tech wearables which.co.uk/reviews/smartwa...

I’ve always respected their reviews.

For a very simple to use watch, and that works with Android (they all need the smart phone link), look at the Withings ones. Sadly, I can't recommend them as their support is dire and the quality of build leaves much to be desired (see my earlier posts). However, they count your steps, have a health check app and are very easy to use for ECG (if you buy the right one). They are also attractive to see and look like a 'real' watch.

YMMV. Good luck.

Good Morning Morzine, I have a Coros Apex 42mm, it doesn't have the ECG capability of the latest Apple watches but it does everything else, the advantage is that it will last approximately two weeks on one charge.
