Breathing in feels acrid or like cold air = afib symptom?

Hopefully last one I promise :)

Husband ad-hoc (several times per day) says his inbreath feels like it’s acrid or like really cold air sort of in the region under the collarbone down the rib area.

Has anyone else got anything similar?

Could it be related to afib?

I really am sorry but we’re 7 months post a dual lead ICD operation and all these new weird symptoms are still debilitating for him and we are getting no answers from doctors (so far… I’m still asking!).

Background is husband had a dual lead ICD implanted February this year and afterwards have had a whole host of random, and debilitating, symptoms and we are still trying to sort out what is afib related and what is not.

I apologies in advance as I will separate out the weird symptoms and post each on it’s own.

Many thanks for any help and experiences

Eva

I think the ICD clinic need to be more helpful than they are being. This sounds like another effect from physical irritation or that phrenic issue your hubby has?

Steve you’re brilliant! As you guys here has such a wealth of experience I wanted to check with you. Afib is completely new to me so unsure of what is common/uncommon symptoms. Gives me more confidence to keep pushing the ICD route and see how they can help.

Thank you that does actually really help. Knowing it’s unlikely an afib symptom. As Steve also said I will now push more on the ICD route and see if they can help.

Thanks :) and I know, this group is the best I’ve ever come across on here. Supportive, knowledgeable, kind and also up for a giggle when needed.

It’s been a long and rather overwhelming year for us for sure. I refuse to give up though, one of our doctors surely must be able to help further or at least tell us what is going on. And you all really help me with that push to keep going and digging further.
