In UK we only use the generic name - Lixiana = Edoxaban. I haven’t as I take Apixaban which is similar - but I’m sure others will come back to you as many GPs prescribe it here.

Have you a particular concern?

I've been on Lixiana (Edoxaban) since December 2019. In that time I've had 2 molars removed and a right heart catheterisation through the femoral artery. I've had no issues whatever with them, both dentist and hospital just asked me to stop the. On the day. No issues whatever with bleeding or healing. HTH

I’ve been on Edoxaban for about 19 months now. Was very worried about taking an anti-coagulant, but have had no problems with it up to now. I am 70 and weigh under 60Kgs, so take 30mgs dose. The GP prescribed the higher dose, but I looked it up and realised he should prescribe the lower dose for me, so told him I should have 30mgs, not 60 mgs, so make sure you’re given the right dose. I wondered if I would bleed a lot when having bloods etc taken, but no problems with that, so don’t worry too much about it.

I've been on it a few month now and was really worried about taking it, I had one nosebleed I don't know what caused it, it wasn't too heavy but took a while to stop. Other than that no issues at all
