Hello, has anyone read the study about calcitonin and Afib? I would like to know if doctors are already treating Afib with this hormone. Thank you!

I think it most unlikely given that the study was only last year. Seems to me it takes many years to bring a drug into use as it needs to be approved for the purpose and then doctors educated on protocols etc.

The was in Nature - link to Abstract - nature.com/articles/s41586-...

The study was on mice and key words - Strategies to restore disrupted myocardial calcitonin signalling thus may offer therapeutic avenues for patients with atrial fibrillation.

I’d be interested if you get any replies.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I think the same. It will take some years till they develop a treatment. Let's cross fingers this happens fast.
