First timer /AFIB for over two years now but after a convergent procedure I've been afib free for over a year keeping my fingers crossed.

How do you know of you have afib
Proir to second ablation/convergence I experiened constant irregular HR heart rate usually in the 60's some sob still on blood thinner
So if i feel my pulse and its irregular that's afib?
It could be, but not always - you will need an ECG to confirm. AF is an irregular, irregularity and has an absence of a P wave which is evident on an ECG but an irregular pulse is a good indicator.
If you have this you need to go and get an ECG ASAP.
No idea what that means. Ive got ectpics which are scary i just want to know what would afib feel like and how would i know
It means to distinguish between ectopics & AF is sometimes very difficult & the only way to be certain is to get an ECG (Electrocardiogram).
I often get ectopics prior to AF but I would be hard pressed to know just by feel if they were multiple ectopics or AF. Everyone has a different experience & many people aren’t even aware they are in AF so the sensations you experience may be entirely different to those I experience. Hence the only really sure way is to have an ECG or use a mobile device such as a Kardia - if you are able to recognise the pattern of AF on the trace.
Hope that clarifies what I meant?
Moe confused . If pulse of steady? How do i know
OK - Normal Sinus Rhythm = heartbeat which is regular with a rate normally between 60-100 beats per minute - you may take your pulse & if you can count the beats & they are are evenly spaced & then your Rhythm is regular. If you can’t keep count of the beats, they go fast, fast, pause, slow then it is an irregular rhythm - which could be AF, could be Ectopics (Benign skipped beats or several other conditions. It sometimes helps to get someone else to take your pulse & beat out the rhythm on a table. But that will only tell you if you have an irregular pulse - not why you have an irregular pulse or what is going wrong.
Therefore the only way to know for sure is to go to your Doctor & ask for an ECG & get it analyzed.
You say you have Ectopics so may we assume you have had an ECG at some point ie electrodes put on various parts of your body & the trace read by a Doctor who told you you had ectopics?
Had them 5 years on and off. They cripple me i fear afib so wanted to know how would i know of i had it. What's the warning sign.
