Mixed my tablets...

I normally have a very well oiled routine with my tablets for AM and PM but yesterday I messed up and I'm not sure I made the right decision this morning.

Normally

AM - flecainide, edoxaban, bisoprolol, lansoprazol, Mg Taurate

PM - flecainide, atorvastatin, fenofibrate, finasteride

but..

Yesterday I took my AM tablets as usual but for some stupid reason took the same tablets again in the evening (meaning I took an edoxaban both AM and PM instead of just AM). I wasn't sure what to do so this morning after reaslising what I'd done so I decided to take all my AM tablets except the edoxaban. I was concerned about taking too much edoxaban (AM and PM yesterday and potentially AM today as well) so didn't take it this morning. My plan is to take my usual tablets this evening and carry on as normal.

Does that seem reasonable or should I have also taken edoxaban this morning? I know what to do if I a miss a dose but this was a bit different.

I have tablet boxes all prepared as well but just made a silly mistake.

Thanks

I think John's right. Hope you sort this out - we've all done it!

I did a similar thing with Rivaroxaban. I had just changed from Dabigatran which is twice a day. We were on a cruise and I took Rivaroxaban at dinner. As soon as I took it I realised that I shouldn’t have.

We excused ourselves from the dinner table and called the ships doctor. He said it shouldn’t be a problem, but be very careful if the ship gets bumpy not to fall.

He told me to miss the dose in the morning and then carry on as normal the next day exactly as you have done. I did this and I was fine.

My response is a bit late but I think you did the right thing.

In my opinion you have done exactly the right think. I’m like you well organised with pills in boxes but did the same as you a short while ago. I read everything I could and made the same decision. I think many of us have done similar.

Thank you for your comments. I did continue this morning as normal after deciding to miss the edoxaban scheduled for yesterday morning, and hey I'm still here :)

It does seem I'm not the only one making mistakes like this now and then.
