3 days ago I had Cryo Balloon Ablation at the Liverpool Heart and Chest hospital and wanted to put people at ease with the procedure after reading some of our community about to undergo Ablation. I must pay compliments to the professionalism and care taken in my treatment. I'm even more pleased with the incision in my groin which has healed so well in 3 days (no stiches) I've had no bleeds there and not experienced any pain or discomfort at all since the operation, absolutely unbelievable I can only put it down to how good the surgeons were and their expertise. To anyone reading this please don't get too anxious about the after effects of the operation as for me there have been none so far, the anxiety was much worse than the real thing. Good luck to all having their Ablation.

Well done and dont forget to read the fact sheet on recovery heartrhythmalliance.org/res... and REST.
The reality of the procedure is so much better than your imagination! Wish you a full and speedy recovery and long lasting NSR.
I'm sure your comments will be balm to those considering a procedure. Thank you.
Great news which will be very reassuring for others.....follow the rules 😉
Thank you Visacrem . I'm having an RF ablation, and just heard today that it's next Tuesday! I accepted a cancellation, and mine's at the Blackpool Victoria Cardiac Centre, under Dr Chalil.
I'm not looking forward to the enforced inactivity, but there's lots to watch on Netflix et al, and I've been collecting many 99p books on my Kindle to read. I also have some knitting projects lined up (more winter socks, for one).
Good luck Momist,I hope it goes really well for you, if I could offer any advise it would be to make sure you rest properly for a few weeks, my mistake was I was feeling so well I pushed it a bit and went to the garden centre for an hour or so then a bit of gardening,,, it was only day 3 post ablation and boy did I feel it the next day so please be careful.
Sorry to all that gave me the very sensible advise to rest but it's easy to fall into a false sense of security.
Thanks for that Visacrem. I know it's Do Nothing in the first week, and only very light exercise in the second, and you are not the first to feel well enough to cheat - I believe many do. I'm hoping that after three weeks, I can drive and tow the caravan away for a few days in a field. Mrs will have to learn to get the water and empty the waste
Thanks for this positive post
