My EKG is now showing a septal infarct, but my EP is saying the EKG is "just being over-read". Now, I have trust issues with my EP - what to believe? Can AF cause a septal infarct? Anyone else out there with an EKG that says "septal infarct" but the EP is not concerned? (PAF for over a decade, but worsened quite dramatically about two weeks after second Pfizer Covid shot. Now, with Afib every 4-5 days.)

Septal Infarct and AF
When you say EKG I presume that you mean the computerised result. These are notoriously unreliable so I would accept what your EP is telling you.
Was it a 12 lead done by a professional? If an algorithm I would ask for a 12 lead to be reassured but as Bob says, algorithms can over read a 1 or 6 lead.
After my 1st Afib episode I went to the ER and EKG showed Septal Infarct. Had to have echocardiogram and stress test after that. They were 'normal.' Ever since that 1st attack, my body is not the same and I had to stop training in my sport. The docs all continue pretend the Infarct isn't real and that the afib is just 'something that can suddenly happen to anyone.' Less than satisfied about these interpretations; and I'm more than a bit suspicious about the presence of Septal Infarct on an EKG, especially if it suddenly appears.
