Recommendations to stop feeling sick with heart failure?

Still waiting for the final part of node ablation and switching on of CRT device. Implanted 8 weeks ago and still no news of the next bit. Rang hospital today and they could not tell me anything. Just got to keep waiting. Even though the EP casually said just give me a ring if you feel unwell and I’ll do the ablation as an emergency when he was finishing off the procedure. 🙄

I’m really struggling with waves of nausea every day. Sometimes it is so bad, I can hardly sip water let alone eat anything. Does any body have any recommendations or ideas how to help or get rid of the nausea?

Thanks

So sorry you are feeling so poorly during this waiting period. When I had daily nausea (from chemotherapy) I took small amount of Dimenhydrinate (gravol, dramamine) every 2-3 hours, just to keep that nausea at bay so I could go about my life. if you take the full tablet, it makes you very drowsy. But for me, 1/4 tablet did not, and it did adequately take the edge off the nausea.

Thank you. I take it this is a prescription drug? I hope you have recovered fully from your treatment and cancer now and that life has returned to some normality

Dimenhydrinate does not require a prescription. It is available over-the-counter in drugstrores a nausea remedy.

Thanks, I will look into this. Also really useful to know side effects with one tablet

Good luck! In canada it is sold as "gravol" and in US "dramamine". Not sure what it goes by in UK.
