That's me, left ventricle working fine, right ventricle not, I do have congenital problem only just diagnosed and I'm 70 years old, surely that can't have much significance, any thoughts would be welcome. Not one ever mentions right heart failure.

I was diagnosed with congenital right ventrical failure and servere tricuspid leaking in late 60s I am now 86.So far I feel fine, walk well and exercise a few times a week with dance and Zumba plus other keep fit . althought there have been a few hiccups along the way.No diagnosed before those mentioned. travelled the world and had a baby. ....nobody picked up anything along the way.Docs claim itis congenital!I have A Fribrilation which is treated with Apixaban and athroid problem for whci I take throxione . but not much else wrong as far as I know

Did you have an operation then? To correct it.

No operation as I was advised that surgery for tricuspid leaking is usually only done if another valve or surgery is being done ....so they do not do solo ops for most tricuspid leaks...even bad ones.I have forgotten the reasoning behind this as it was a long time ago. I am checked with an echo twice a year.Thankfully I am in pretty good shape apart from a small amount of fluid around my heart which does not seem to impinge upon my general heart condition. I take Furosimide...a small dose.. once a day for this.

Hi, A recent heart scan indicated me having right side heart failure and I was worried. However consultant said it was mild and probably a result of having 2 heart valves repaired, with open heart surgery. He said I displayed no symptoms, like breathlessness, water retention or cough and said my heart sounded and appeared working fine. He said left side is always more worrying. I needed no new or extra medication so was relieved.
