For last 2 days, I have not been able to "like" posts on this site. I click the little heart and nothing happens. I seem to be able to post & comment alright, but cannot click "like". Has anyone else noticed that?

Has been happening to me intermittently for some time.
Works if you use the LIKE button.
The only "Like" button I have on my screen is a box with a heart in it. Do you have something different? that is the button that has not worked for me for 2 days.
Proper desk top or tablet? Tablets have far less data visible I understand. I have no heart button but after each post is a line of boxes marked Reply, Like, Save, Report and More, the latter containing edit functions.
Desktop in my case - iMac. I only have "Reply" Button and "Like (Heart)" Button and "Report".
I’m on iPad - Safari - I liked Bob’s reply but could ‘t like your reply - but could your original post. It’s not system wide - looks like your end.
Yet so many o this thread reporting same... so more than my end.
Not on my desktop Windows 10 computer Bob. It is how Kim describes it, and I can't like either of your posts. 😪 Well having posted this I was able to like Finvola's post.
I had the same problem earlier today however, it seems to be working now.
good idea. but 2 other members so far said same for them... so i suspect it's system wide but irregular?
I have noticed this for a couple of days. The dark blue colour comes in the heart but then disappears . The original post worked but not with the replies. The number of likes does not go up by 1. Love the primrose. Is it an Auricula type?
I can't 'like' since around midday. Lovely plant Kim.

me too . i can click like on some posts/comments but not others. can't like this comment of yours Auriculaire, for example. strange.
Someone is fiddling with the site to update a feature, methinks.
I too can't 'Like' posts this evening Kim, couldn't edit a spelling mistake in one of my posts either.
My "liking" ability has been restored it seems (for the moment at least) 
Not really restored. It's sporadic. Some people's remarks here I can like. Others I can't...
Log out, then log back in, usually sorts glitches out for me, worth a try.
Same here. Liked the original post OK, but the second one didn't work. Same result with a different browser.

Yup. Has to be something wrong with the site. I've had it happen lately. Sometimes I click on like on a post and it goes to "unlike". Just did it now on your first post here. Won't work on any of your replies. Seems it would have to be the site if so many people are having problems using different devices??Love your plant. Looks like an inverted sunflower 🌻. 😊
I just reported the glitch to HU admin in case they aren't aware. It seems to be affecting most people here, not just me. So... system issue of some sort.

OK, same here. I ignored your post this morning, as the 'heart' symbol has always worked for me. Now, in the evening at 11pm, it seems to have stopped working (at least for me).
I'm on a laptop using Linux Mint and the browser is Firefox 88.0
Seems it must be intermittent, and not due to anyone currently 'fiddling', at this time of night on a Sunday.

i was able to 'like' your comment, but not ian66's. it's very strange...
OK. It's a page refreshment thing. I couldn't 'like' you message, but after clicking the heart if I refresh the page the 'like' is there. If I click it again nothing happens, but if I refresh the page again, it's gone away. I clicked again, with no result, but after refreshing the page it's there again! HTH.
thanks for that discovery... but HU should still fix this, because that's a lot of page refreshing to have to do to be functional on this site.

Just got this reply from Admin at Health Unlocked about this problem with the "Like" button:
"I am reaching out to you to let you know that the technical issues with the ‘like’ button that you highlighted to us has now been fixed. The team are aware of the additional bugs that are currently on the site and are working as quickly as possible to resolve these for you. We are a small team and expect that the remaining bugs will be fixed by the end of next week."
I don't know what the "additional bugs" are. But my "like" button still only works sporadically.
