Evening chaps and chapesses.
Well, here was I, hoping for a quiet event free day and then.........
Popped to Holland & Barrett with hubby to get some arnica. After Avocadogate, I wasn't going to chance what he would come back with.
According to my Versa 2, I had only walked 0.35 of a mile in total from getting up, to getting back to the car. Gentle, flat, slow walking. On the way home, hubby had to brake quite hard as someone decided to do a u turn.so I did get a bit of a jolt. Bit spooked and seatbelt tightened but otherwise ok. This was around 2.15pm.
Got home, dropped the trolleys and got a rub down with arnica (not on the nether regions π³) Smells nice but let's hope it works.
A couple of hours later, I was sat quietly, minding my own business when I felt a bit of discomfort in my chest. Checked my watch and pulse was in the 90s and rising. My usual average resting rate is 52. It pinged about between 102 - 114 for around 20 mins. Checking my pulse at my wrist, it didn't feel like AF, as usually, its difficult to actually find a pulse when I'm in AF. It did not appear irregular as such so I'm thinking atrial flutter.
Not sure what the trigger was out of today's events, one or a combo or perhaps it was just going to happen today even if I didn't leave my chair. It's now between 77 and 85 so I'm thinking the days of 52bpm are out of the window. I was only saying to the registrar yesterday how happy I was that my bpm were still good and he said I was fortunate that my meds were keeping it in check.
I know that it's very common and usual for it to happen, according to the fact sheets from here and the hospital and from posts on here, so I'm trying to just take it on the chin (well, one of the chins) and not get wound up by it.
On the upside, the addition of prunes to my breakfast is keeping the Suez Canal clear of traffic, if you catch my drift π.
Tomorrow is another day eh?
Take care all.
