Xiaomi Mi Band 6

Do anyone have any opinions of the new Xiaomi Mi Band 6?

It has heart rate, abnormality and SpO2 monitoring. As well as other "features". And can cost around £40 depending on how you buy one.

Adding:

Now £39.99 on their own website in the UK.

I can't say good or bad about the product - it's new to the market I think and I've never used it.

However £40 sounds a little low for a reliable monitor. Have you considered a Kardia ? It might cost a little extra but tends to be accurate.

Just my opinion.

Have a lovely day.

I have considered many things! :-)

Being a band, rather than something you use when you feel the need, it potentially captures much more information. Though not a graphical ECG.

Given the prices of some other Xiaomi products, like a 5G phone with pretty impressive camera for £169, I'd not dismiss it on the grounds of price.

Sure Carew - I'm with you. You pays your money and takes your chance I guess. Just from my experience you get what you pay for. For example I bought a FitBit watch - often the readings are good but sometimes very wrong.

Interested to see how it goes if you buy one.

Cheers Paul

I've read quite a lot of criticism of FitBit over the years. So already put off that!

No comment - I'll plead the 5th amendment ;-)

I’ve got the mi band 5 and for £26 it does the job. Doesn’t have an ecg and all the bells and whistles but it monitors your heart rate, records your steps, monitors your sleep, fitness activity (running, cycling etc). Nice neat little device

I have a Xiaomi band - a 3 I think - and what it does is amazing for £25! I only use a few features, keep an eye on HR, medication and ‘sitting too long’ reminder (usually when I’ve been standing too long cooking 🙄), sleep report and step count. However, like other gadgets using green light technology it can’t cope with AF. And I have found it a bit erratic - sometimes it suddenly stops doing what you set it to do. But I think well worth a try for that price depending on what you want it for.

I had the 3 and was very impressed within its limits!
