RF Ablation

Had my one week post ablation check in. Dr said he RF ablated my 4 pulmonary veins but did an oval around two veins at a time, versus a circle around each one. Has anyone else had this?

It is quite common for pulmonary veins to be conjoined which means you can't isolate each one independently . You are not weird.

I don’t know if my EP did oval but assuming he must have done as I was told afterwards 2 of mine were conjoined. Was a slight concern when told but found out it’s quite common so wasn’t worried. Take care and rest, rest, rest. X

I don't believe I had the oval. Mine were performed each one independently. EP who recently examined them ... said they were both quiet after being ablated 10 years ago.
