Magnesium v Bisoprolol and Apaxiban 5mg twice a day.

Hello all.

I’m on Bisoprolol and Apaxiban.

Anyone taking these drugs that has been supplementing with magnesium at home too? I’m interested in finding out if it’s safe but the GP isn’t on the same wave band about it. Looking for some advice from folk out there please.

Hi Ellie I take Dabigatran and Bisoprolol - not the same I know but I take magnesium with no problems. Hope someone answers who takes the same combi.

Again, not exactly the same, but I take Bisoprolol, Flecainide, Edoxaban and a Magnesium supplement without problems.

Hi, yes I take 1.25mg bisoprolol and apixaban 5mg. I also take magnesium taurate with no side effects. Hope this helps.

Hi Ellie.I am on the same but with other heart medication aswell.I asked my pharmacist to check if I was okay to take Magnesium, but when she came back to me she was unable to give me a definitive answer. I keep meaning to try my Doctor but with Covid it feels a bit of an indulgence to bother him.
