I find that they are much worse if I have slept badly. Often a good nights sleep will get rid of themor improve them. Try to relax as

much as possible, go for a walk and try breathing exercises. If you are getting lots of them suddenly, then they should be discussed with a doctor.

Hi do you take medication I am on Flecainide and Nebivolol which helps but the are hard to manage never found anything else that helps me, hope you feel better soon, Ingrid

After my 3rd ablation, I had non-stop ectopic beats all day long for weeks. Very uncomfortable! Doctor told me they're not an issue, so ignore them. I couldn't!

Luckily, I discovered a triple type magnesium formula (because mag comes in numerous types) that I took of 300- to 400mg twice a day got rid of the ectopic beats and smoothed heart out to normal rhythm. I was very surprised and quite happy.

Mag is cheap ... it's used in numerous process throughout the body .... it's calmative .... it's known to be very safe ... and most people are deficient in mag. It was a win/win. Ectopics never did come back.

Dream supplement for heart stability. Might not work for everyone, but certainly worth a try. I did not like the fluttering, hurky-jerky heart. I felt every erratic beat.

I pray it works for you . . .

What has your medics say about them? Has he/she confirmed what they are and that they are benign.

Hi I had e cg in GP surgery 3 weeks ago and showed Atrial Flutter. But the uneven heart beat feels very different. Its still early days for me so I'm still super anxious about my heart rate. Last 24 hours been continuous arrhythmia not rapid but eneven if that makes sense.

Hi there, I know how frightening and all encompassing this can be. Have you tried Magnesium Taurate as recommended by Dr Sanjay Gupta? It worked for me. Best wishes. 🙂

The thing I've found helps if I'm having 'an ectopics day' is keeping well hydrated, eating very lightly [nothing to eat after 6pm] and any gentle activity to distract myself....light gardening, baking, walking the dogs [even housework if I have to] Even though I'm told they're not dangerous, I find ectopics so unnerving. A good night's sleep usually sorts them out too. I do hope you feel better soon and the pesky things disappear 👍

Thankyou for answering. I've had a bad night last night and the previous day too. My pulse is all over the place. I'm like you we eat at 5. 30 and I've switched to caffeine free tea. Drink loads of water and walk daily with hubby and keep busy. OK during the day but at night when they keep you awake it's another story. My anxiety levels hit a high. I've tried 10 minutes deep controlled breathing but nothing seems to work.

Mine are rare and I don't notice them since I stopped flecainide. They were frequent and forceful while taking it.

how long were you on flecanide? did you switch to something else?

I can't remember how long. I first used it as a pill in the pocket, as required, then I was changed to a low dose twice a day. I was hospitalised after a collapse, loss of consciousness and the EP stopped the flecainide as it was causing changes on ECG.

I find my pac's/pvc's are intertwined with heart rate. When I'm having ectopics, If my HR is up a bit I try to soothe and bring it down....If it's low (for me) I try to get a little more active. Sometimes they manifest only when moving around. Other times only when sitting still. If eating a meal or gulping water or moving around does not help then I'm likely going to experience some anxiety.

Here are my coping mechanisms.....Stop whatever I'm trying to do....Get into a dark room, lay down, focus on breath (not necessarily deep or long) and sink into my 'safe' zone while accepting what is....for 30 mins to an hour. Or, I lay face down on the floor with arms at side. Can't feel certain ectopics in this position. Have to get creative with my head as this strains my neck a bit. Many times after 15 minutes of this I feel 'digestion' motility and burp or pass gas or find I am suddenly hungry. Lately I've been laying on an exercise ball and rolling around on it to encourage movement of intestinal 'material'. I've also laid on my back and pushed my legs up a wall so as to change the pressure in my body and kick the heart into a different rhythm. Sometimes during a workout with weights I will intentionally go heavier as a way to invoke valsalva to engage Vagus nerve.

Warm bath in Epsom salts with soothing music and aromatherapy? Maybe an emergency meditation from Headspace. I've listened to the same one repeatedly on occasion to try to get myself off the ledge. Sitting by the gas fireplace to warm myself often calms the nerves,...along with a soothing tea with theanine and/or magnesium or beta blocker PiP.

Sometimes the kick in heart rate will smooth things out. Other times it makes it worse. Interesting to me that my 'coping' strategies are at opposite ends....I try to chill and if that doesn't help I try to get active. If that doesn't work I get mindful and try to go Zen. Lately I've tried doing tasks that aren't too difficult but that command my attention away from the errant beats....i.e., Guitar, puzzles, models, yard pickup, stepping outside to walk around the house, calling someone to have a conversation, reading. But when all hell breaks loose, I head directly for Flecainide PiP and on the worst days to Clonazepam. Mostly it helps to have things you believe in.....things you take faith in that you can turn to if you find things are getting unbearable. On occasion I find I don't even turn to the 'remedies'....instead it's easier to just sit it out and get on with life....Wishing you well on your voyage.
