All of a sudden my day has been filled with ectopic heart beats. Started early this morning. I haven't had this many in a long time. Is it something I should be concerned about?

Ectopics
Every one gets ectopics, they are quite normal it's just once you have had af you seem more aware of them
Hi Paul. I out a post on the forum about this last week. May be worth looking at the responses I rceived as well as responses your post brings forward.
I have had the occasional ectopic some quite powerful over the years but a couple of weeks ago had them ongoing. Also had them constantly for four days running. They got worse each day having 10 to 12 every minute. Very disturbing and anxiety provoking. As I have atrial tachycardia I was warned the atrial ectopics could tip me over into atr tachy. And so they did. My atr tachy is violent and caused a hospital stay beginning of this week.
My cardiac prof prescribed pill in the pocket flecainide which So far has helped. Not sure how long for though.
Apparently lots of people suffer from them and we Afers are so heart sensitive we feel things perhaps the rest of the population tend not to.
I am told they are benign albeit troublesome and can feel awful. I wondered if they were a sign of arrhythmia progressing but not had an answer to that.
I sympathise and do hope they settle for you as they are nasty and keep reminding us of our heart condition by bugging us ongoing. Ask your doctor for assistance if they don't settle don't jut put up with them.
Good luck.
Dee
How many are you getting?
Mine have beendealt with twith drugs. But I got them allday every day, you couldn'treally even take my pulse because of them so maybe not the same, depends how many you are getting I suppose.
I get them every evening straight after ive eaten my tea lasting about 2 hours. They are also brought on by alchohol, stress and infection. If I went 3 days of constant ectopics I think I would definately see my gp and even consider a&e and im a paramedic. Sometimes I sit in front of an ecg monitor at work looking for my little friends appearing. As a matter of fact I know several people at work who do exactly the same thing. I also have paf which pops up occasionally, funnily enough I was diagnosed off my own ecg!! Yeah they are benign but if it persists u need to see the doc to make sure theres nothing else going on
Thanks for the responses. It has seemed to settled down for now.
