Hi I normally take my meds within 1 hour of waking up in the morning which are Apixaban,Fostair 100/6 and Digoxin which has now been replaced with Diltiazem.

I do not have breakfast normally so all meds are on a empty stomach apart from cups of T. I was reading one bit of advice which said you can take them on a empty stomach and the other bit of advice went a bit further saying take b4 a meal.

I now have a choice of taking 1st thing in the morning on empty stomach or b4 sanwitch at lunchtimes. Any info and advice from those who take or have taken Diltiazem would be appreciated.Thank you

I was told to take diltiazem before bedtime but I don’t know why. Seems to work ok.

I took diltiazem before my evening meal. As the tablets you have are slow release it doesn't matter too much when you take them, but the recommendation is before or with a meal.

The best time seems to be take diltiazem at night and as MarkS pointed out they are recommended b4 or with a meal so I will go with that starting tonight.
