No Pollyanna three here!

My tip to bring joy into our lives is by learning to admire and enjoy the beauty of nature. Trees, flowers, birds, and every living thing. At night look up at a star lit sky, it's mind blowing!

Happy New Year. X

Never saw the film but old enough to have read the book! I wondered if anyone would get the reference 😀 as it used to be a common saying but not any more.

I thought it might be a challenge Buff, but I’ve got a couple

1. Despite having several episodes after the “notorious” 6 month blanking period, I only had one in June last year which was stopped within an hour with PiP. Thyroid treatment earlier in the year probably contributed to the improvement.

2. Carole, who has had IBS problems for years, managed to have a colonoscopy and to our relief, nothing really nasty was found.

3. August saw our Golden Wedding anniversary but all plans to celebrate were curtailed however, between lockdowns, we managed to have lunch with a small group of our closest friends, all of whom attended the wedding. We also managed to have a lovely weekend at a posh hotel in the Cotswolds.

4. Eventually managed to sort out a warning light which was driving me mad on FlapJack, our motorhome! Talking of which, two lovely short breaks in FJ during the summer.

5. We are lucky where we live, although only a few miles from the M25, there are plenty of safe areas to walk and by and large everyone is doing their thing to keep safe,

6. Last, but not least, this forum where spirits generally remain high.

Interesting about the Disney orphans, something I hadn’t realised. Showing my age and gender here, I read some Pollyanna and saw the film in the 60s starring Hayley Mills. It’s a term I still use “I’m being a Pollyanna” and only some of my generation understand ... no wonder people give me odd looks sometimes 😂

I refer to Pollyanna too Hilly and loved the film. It taught me to have a positive outlook and look for the good in everything.

It would be an idea to have a remake of the film for children today. Hmm feel like watching it now.

Same here Jean, I try to be Pollyanna 😊

Great idea for a remake, I reckon the kids today would love her and maybe try to be like her too 👍🏼
