I’ve had a few glitches over the last week or so, with the rest of the Internet working fine. I think there might have been odd bits of downtime where the forum has ‘hung’. Usually fine when I come back to it,

If you have a mobile phone, there's an excellent free app available that tests your wifi speed anywhere in the house and over time. It's called 'Wi-Fi Sweet Spots'. I recommend it to my students and their parents when doing Skype tuition. It will show immediately any issues. Here is a screen shot of it in action:

I got an email yesterday morning, with 2 attachments from one of your administrators (who I think is in the U.K., I'm in the U.S.) E-mail opened very slowly, and the attachments not at all. Strange, the rest of my mail was fine. Went back to Tracy's email later in the day, and all was fine.

Bottom line, I think you folks are having some transmission/reception problems over there, probably because of the heat. We have similar problems when too hot because of the heavy load on the electrical system. In California, they actually impose selective "black-outs" with excessive heat strain on the system-imagine that! Anyway, a lot of "tech" devices start acting screwy. Tough situation for you folks, but hopefully, this too shall pass!
