Post Ablation - 7 days

Hoping I didn’t speak too soon! Had my first ablation last Monday and have felt quite well. I have followed all the advice and am taking things very easy. All was going well until today, my heart seems to be very erratic and I can feel it in my throat. I’m hoping it’s just a blip. Anyone else had the same? X

Yes, most of us experience it so please try not to worry. It’s only when the scars heal within the heart which can take up to 6 months that the rogue impulses fade away....if you haven’t already, please read the attached factsheet.....

Yes little funny beats I think a lot of us got. It took me six months in all honesty looking back, felt good most of time, but energy levels were a tad up and down, the best advice I was given was listen to your body,,,it knows best and it does!Sue

Had loads of funny beats and off days days / setbacks for 8-10 months after ablation and didn't feel major benefit until after 11+, so it's a long road be patient, and don't push too hard is my only advice, listen to your body and take it easy no matter how good you feel.

Me too - lots of bumps and arrhythmias for about 5 months. That was 2013 and still AF free. So be careful, patient and lazyish. Good luck 🍀
