Nebivolol rash
I had hives from Bisoprolol. My GPs did research and found that all beta blockers van cause it. I no longer take beta blockers.
Thanks for reply . The GP had put me on Bisoprolol as I was on it previously without any problems. May I ask did you hives start immediately or sometime after starting Bisoprolol?
They started on the 49th day of taking them. While I was being weaned off them I also had an exacerbation of asthma causing a two nights stay in hospital. It took about 2½ years for the hives to stop occurring after I'd stopped beta blockers. Occasionally I still have them. Also certain foods bring the rashes back, tomatoes and oranges being two examples.
I took and still take cetirizine hydrochloride antihistamines to relieve the itching.
I didn't take any beta blockers until 3 years ago following very rapid heart rate during an operation to remove my appendix. I have had AF for about twenty seven years. For the last 5+ years it's been asymptomatic permanent AF. I now only take a daily anticoagulant, Warfarin being my choice.
