Well what a fortnight. A cycle accident that left me with quite serious injuries, broken ribs, broken collar bone, cracked shoulder blade, drained lung and chipped pelvis has lead to my EP saying that it is now time to fit the pacemaker to address my dodgy ticker electrics (LBBB) whilst I was in hospital. Much debate about the cause of the accident but later video evidence showing that I was hit by another cyclist. Reluctantly I agreed to fitting a pacemaker to avoid future DVLA implications. They could not get the third lead to locate so I have ended up with a 2 lead pacemaker.
So the cycle injuries have incapacitated my right arm, the pacemaker has limited movement of my left arm and the result is that I am shuffling around like a penguin with one crutch.

You poor thing, what a horrible few weeks you've had! I guess you just need time to recover now. I hope you don't live alone and have someone who can help you while movement is restricted.
I know it’s hard to get a cardiology appointment but wasn’t that a bit extreme 😂 ? Seriously I particularly empathise with the broken ribs, ooooow...... Hope you heal well and quickly 🦋
I know it’s a shock but I hope you will find the PM good - I had to have a revision to place the 3rd lead but even so - after recover and healing from the initial placement with 2 leads found I was SO much better.
Take very good care and just confirms my view that I was wise avoiding cycling, mountain climbing and sky diving. Any other sport but not those!
Not something I would wish on anyone as it was something like 9 months after the initial placement but it worked and added another level. I haven’t had one episode since that was done in June 2019.
