I take 2 psyllium fiber capsules with 8 ounces of water, twice a day because if I didn't, I'd be making *hard bricks* and they would hurt like heck when they get... eliminated.
The psyllium fiber capsule part gets dissolved and the psyllium turns into a gel that goes through my system and does it's wonderful work.
Since they turn into a gel, does anyone know if the psyllium gel interferes with my medication, i.e. prevents my medication from being accessible to my body because the gel is pushing it along and perhaps encapsulating things and preventing my meds from being used correctly? It would do me no good to take a beta blocker if the gel prevents it from doing it's beta blocker thing.
Is it a good idea to take the psyllium on an empty stomach, or maybe 2 hours before or 2 hours after I take my meds? If I take the psyllium with meds, will it bind with the meds and make them inert? I've tried the psyllium that's dissolved in a glass of water, and nope, I can make good *hard bricks* with that, so the capsules it is! Thank you!!!!
