Woke up last night with tachycardia but it also felt as though my heart was beating at a normal rate at the same time - as though I had two separate but different heart rates going on at the same time. Is this even possible?
2 separate heart rates simultaneously? - Atrial Fibrillati...
2 separate heart rates simultaneously?
Not unless you are a timelord.
Could you be pregnant? Then you might hear /feel two heartbeats.
I guess so if you have flutter your atria will be going faster than your ventricles (otherwise you’d be dead). I’ve felt that just once with AF - I could feel the atria sort of vibrating at the top of my chest and the ventricles beating chaotically below. It was horrible but fascinating.....
Ah, yes that makes sense. That's probably what's happening - thanks for your help.
I once was so cold I felt hot.
So oximeters are not always accurate, especially with very fast beats? I have wondered about this. I use one to monitor my episodes, but with a recent one, mine showed lines that were almost flat with little bumps for beats. Maybe because it wasn't catching them? I registered at about 150 but now I'm not sure what my BPM actually were.
