I just found this YouTube by Dr Sanjay Gupta. What a wonderful Cardiologist this guy is. We would all be so lucky to have him as our consultant. So down to earth and open minded.
My paroxysmal AFib seems to be triggered by a few things, too much chocolate, Alcohol, Coffee, (yes all the fun things!) and stress as in anxiety, anger, shock etc

Thanks Jean. I don't come on here a lot as talking or reading too much about AFib is actually a trigger for my AFib! Once I start to get a chest pain while reading about someone else's experience I have to skidaddle pretty fast and I'm not exagerating. I'm a very symptomatic AFiber so I'll do pretty much anything to avoid getting an attack.... I don't talk to anybody much about it either... it's just too much. It's anxiety stuff I guess.
Hope you are doing ok in these very strange days we are all in.
I have not had that particular trigger, stress. I know that exhaustion and dehydration are triggers for my Afib. I try to avoid both of those states. This February was my ninth anniversary since catheter ablation surgery. I am hoping that I get to my tenth anniversary without having to do another catheter ablation. My brother who is 7 years older had to have another catheter ablation on his tenth anniversary. I have not had any indications that this will be necessary. Maybe meditation would alleviate some of that stress.
Hi David, I hope you sail through your tenth anniversary and yes I'm realizing that dehydration is quite a culprit in a lot of illnesses now and have upped my water intake in recent times. All the best with your anniversary. When you get through that you will have more confidance. It's the one thing I find hard with all this AFib it can rock your confidance.
