Garlic and rivaroxaban

I wonder if anyone out there knows of any dangerous interaction of garlic extract with Rivaroxaban. I’d like to take it as a dietary supplement but am wary!

Tessy do you mean in relation to garlic effect of , reaction ? Bloodthinning. If it helps but I don’t recommend to anyone else as *I am not a qualified medical practitioner *

I have been taking 1 clove raw chopped per day in a fizzy berrocca vit c. B . To drown taste ; every day 3 weeks to drive away vampires 🧛‍♀️ and Covid 19 virus 🦠 lol . I take Xarelto Rivaroxaban 20 mg daily . Feel Great . Have not Cut myself , so no idea . It makes me feel bit hot and sweat which feels good . Makes me feel nice. In past I have had bad Asian flus (not Covid 19 ) 3 cloves per day with turmeric ginger honey lemon . Sweat. Flu lessened severity in 24 hours . *Not recommending just personal experience . *

There teas if you google that are fever breakers .

Turmeric is anti inflammatory . Covid 19 pneumonia is inflammation of lungs . No?

Turmeric is contraindicated with blood thinners , (but I personally take the risk as no excessive bleeding ) 3 years. I take within date from Licensed health food stores not online.

Garlic is from history all they had in Plague, it was taken to drive away the Plague . As the story got reinvented , ( as the taker of life that took people’s lives in the night ) as a vampire ) interesting huh?

We eat a fair amount of garlic a week in food...not as daily supplement where I think it may be an issue.

I'm on apixaban ..since 2013

Garlic is reported to have blood-thinning properties, which does not sit well with taking an anti-coagulant such as Rivaroxaban.

If you take the latter in the morning, you could try taking a garlic taablet in the evening before bed, as the Riveroxaban will be decreasing in potency by then, if I understand it correctly, but I would only take one tablet at most per day.

I take 20mg of Xarelto (name brand for rivaroxaban) in the evening with supper. By noon each day, I take Kyolic garlic and fish oil along with some other vitamins and supplements. I have been doing this for over 3 years now with no problems. These two supplements can act to thin the blood, but by staggering the timing, I avoid having too much blood thinner in me at one time. Xarelto is most active in your blood stream the first 8 1/2 hours after taking it. By taking it in the evening and taking the supplements mentioned in the morning, I seem to get the benefits from all without any adverse reactions.
