Narrow complex tachycardia

Hi everyone I have had narrow complex tachycardia for 10 years and 2 attempted ablations but both failed to re create an “ episode “ now they used to give me warning when they were coming now they do not and I nearly black out so been banned from driving on medical grounds until cardiology sort it out ! Also after an episode as I call them I am so so thirsty I mean really thirsty. I think my whole automic system is failing and I have no idea why ! Drs seem to be taking ages to tell me what’s going on 😪

So sorry to hear that, it is very frustrating to be told that you can’t drive, but one can understand why. I don’t know much about it other than I know getting a differential diagnosis is important as regard to treatment but needs specialist expertise. What sort of doctor are you seeing?

Why do you think your autonomic system is failing? Would the symptoms you describe not be down to the Tachycardia? My understanding is that this type of arrythmia is more to do with electrical system within the heart - AV node - rather than autonomic.

Do you keep very well hydrated? It is really important if you do have autonomic dysfunction to keep hydrated, all of the time. One of the best foods you can take to help hydration is Water Melon and apples so may help to incorporate into your hydration routine.

I have symptoms of MS also at the moment and they are trying to figure out what’s going on ? I do drink a lot of water ? It’s just frustrating they are taking so long to figure it out :-(

It does - because it’s complex.

Hello I’ve just read your post. I also suffer with narrow complex tachycardia. I had a cryoblation for my AF but still left with this one. They want to do another ablation but no guarantee they can trigger the episode so I don’t know what to do. I’m on bisoprolol but that’s not working so he is introducing flecanide as well.
