Does anyone else have a problem getting a good connection and what do you do to get one?

Tried that, hand cream or gel?

cream will stop it. Try sanitiser, or spit. lol

Finally got a reading but took ages. Use wondered as this was the worst episode if there was a connection gel. I’ll try sanitiser next time👍🏻

Maybe the battery is worn out....😉

I wondered, I did buy some. Think if the next time is as difficult, I’ll change it.

Have you made sure that you have updated to the latest version of the software?

How do I do that?

Assuming you are using an iPhone, then go to the App Store, click on the downward pointing arrow at the bottom of the screen and see if there is an update, or type ‘Kardia’ and see if there is an update.

The connection between Kardia and iphone is via sound. You need to position the Kardia close to the phone’s microphone which is normally at the bottom of the phone.

I thought about getting one then found it is NOT recommended for use wit a Pacemaker! Soo saved my pennies :-)

I have a pacemaker and the Kardia works perfectly. Detected my AF before the hospital did.

Hi. What Bob said about hand sanitizer, it works. The metal 'contact' bits (the bits of the Kardia you put your fingers on) also benefit from the occasional wipe with hand sanitizer/alcohol wipe to make the connection better.

If using an iPad, don't have the Kardia at the end with the Home button, have it at the opposite end, this works much much better.

Have the Kardia and phone/tablet on a flat hard surface, the sound transmits better.

Definitely change the battery. I had the same problem for a few weeks then realised. Works perfect now. 👌👍🏻😊

Yep, replaced the battery, is little better, can be finicky with contact.
