Evening! I was diagnosed with PAF in 2017 and my recent echo shows moderate diastolic dysfunction with a mild left atrium. I am awaiting to hear from my cardiologist/EP but can anyone share similar stories as i am going out of my mind as to the next steps and prognosis. I was getting more breathless when walking on hilly surfaces last November which is why the various tests were carried out. CT angio and treadmill test were both fine. Thanks 🙏

I assume you mean mild left atrial enlargement which is common in afib. You should be seeing a cardiologist and Electrophysiologist to sort out exact pathology and treatment options going forward. I hope you are on an anticoagulant which would reduce the risk of stroke. Best...
It’s do with how the heart relaxes and I believe can be referred as diastolic heart failure. I’m not sure if what I have is categorised as that as it is moderate but it changed from mild to moderate from the echo in 2018 to 2019.
I will be speaking to the cardiologist and EP but that depends on when someone calls me back!
