Has anybody had any experience or information of an EP using a Software. That allows a Surgeon to view in real time a 3D view inside the heart while applying treatment. Seems this is KODEX-EPD cardiac mapping system.
Any further information as to which Nhs Hospital uses this method would be welcome..

I had an ablation 13 months ago using 3d carto mapping. This was done at the bristol heart institute (nhs). It was my second ablation and I'm pleased to say it has been successful.
I have been waiting for the 3D mapping method, the first I heard about new mapping was AcQ a couple years ago now. Do you know if the Bristol 3D Carto mapping is similar to the KODEX-EPD first used in UK 2019.
Technavio has released a new market research report on the global 3D cardiac mapping systems market from 2019-2023. (Graphic: Business Wire)

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The prevalence of cardiac arrhythmias has increased significantly in recent years, owing to the increased risk of stroke and hospitalizations. This is encouraging various health-conscious people worldwide to purchase devices for early detection and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Thus, the increasing prevalence of cardiac arrhythmias and related risk factors will drive the growth of the 3D cardiac mapping systems market size during the forecast period. Furthermore, this industry research report also presents a competitive analysis of the market by product (contact 3D cardiac mapping systems and non-contact 3D cardiac mapping systems) and geography (Asia, Europe, North America, and ROW).
Competitive vendor landscape
The global 3D cardiac mapping systems market is highly competitive with major vendors such as Abbott, Boston Scientific Corporation, Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc., Medtronic, and MicroPort Scientific Corporation, competing based on price, quality, and market presence.
“The non-invasive 3D cardiac mapping systems are gaining prominence across the world as they reduce mapping times by offering information on the topography of arrhythmogenic foci before the procedure. These devices also allow continuous panoramic mapping of both atria or both ventricles, which cannot be achieved with current invasive methods. Thus, the emergence of non-invasive 3D cardiac mapping systems will positively impact market growth during the forecast period,” says a senior analyst at Technavio
indeed, since a couple of years there are some very innovative new mapping systems in use around the globe.
And the competition is tough too because the market is considered a gold mine. Good for us, a lot of funding into research
I had my ablation almost about 3 years ago in Bangkok, done by an EP Dr. Koonlawee who came in from Los Angeles to carry out the ablation. I was patient nr. 37 on whom they used the CardioInsight mapping system from Medtronic.
Fascinating technology. I did wear a sort of space vest with 252 electrodes.
