Day time view

Thanks everyone for your lovely messages. I thought I’d share my day time view as well. I went for a walk earlier around the ward and I have the best view. Maybe it’s a frequent visitor benefit 😀

The doctor is pretty happy with my heart today - it’s still having short runs of AF but the rate is lower. He is running tests for some potential underlying issues which may be contributing to my arrhythmias. A lot of other symptoms I’ve had over the past few months have been put down to postherpetic neuralgia associated with the Shingles I had in April - he wants to rule out a couple of potential issues that could present with similar symptoms. All being well I’ll probably head home on Sunday.

Another lovely view Kaz. I guess some privileges are due to a frequent 'visitor'! Is that a balcony you can actually go out on to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine? Here's hoping the tests do get to the bottom of your recent problems.

Here in the UK (well the south/south west) the weather has been glorious the last few days for this time of year - early autumn. Clear blue skies, brilliant warm sunshine but with a bit of an autumnal nip in the air in the early morning. Unfortunately today doesn't look quite so good.

Yes it is a balcony. We are having lovely spring weather although I think they are forecasting rain tomorrow.

Hi

Which consultant did you have in Barts

I had Dr Earley and Dr Chow both EPs, Dr Chow is my regular consultant who also works at Royal Berks where I normally go but Mark Earley did my procedure at Barts as it's not done at Royal Berks ( I had an Amulet device fitted)

Hi Kaz

Do you actually have a balcony near your bed? Wow! Hope all the tests you're waiting for give good results. Best wishes.

I love watching birds, I guess you have some more colourful ones than us in the UK. Have you had any results back yet?

Not yet, although just had another ECG which was apparently different to yesterday’s and another blood test.

All I ever see when in our hospital is either the Air Ambulance helipad or at other times another inside face of a central courtyard.

It must help you but I bet you would rather be at home.

Home is always preferred but when things are unable I as they are now I feel more confident here. It’s a lovely private hospital with excellent food, wonderful staff and great views.
