So I just AF again for about ten minutes because I wand the near my Flecainide. I had it two weeks ago for four minutes. I used to have long episodes and now I am getting short episodes like under ten minutes? What the hell? It makes no sense. I'm supposed to get an ablation on 1/21, my first one didn't work, so hopefully, this will fix it. I'm just sold and moved out of my family house in 6 days in New York. Had to drive up there and back to Florida all within that time period and I'm under more stress and presssure than I've ever been under. Do you think this is why I'm having more frequent episodes? I'm kind of scared. Any advice would be so helpful. Alex

Stress will do it of course. Sounds like your AF burden is not too bad actually compared with most. Not long before your next ablation so try not to worry as that really won't help. Drink plenty of water as dehydration will also do it and if you have been driving long distances I doubt you have stayed well hydrated.
Thanks so much Bob. Yes my AF burden is quite low, however, every episode is super uncomfortable for me. I usually hydrate like crazy, and have been doing my best, but yesterday I slacked off and didn’t drink enough. Thanks so much for your response. I was worried my AF was cha going or getting worse. Every three months was bad enough. At least these episodes are fast. Ugh...
I am not a doctor but my 2 cents is: it sounds like you are having "Breakthroughs" and your current dosage of Flec. isn't enough under your circumstances. If you are taking less than 300mg a day of Flec. maybe ask your doc if he can up your dose a little. It would also be a good time to review potential triggers in addition to stress with your doc and see if you can make any changes. Best of luck.
