Visiting our daughter in D.C. & guess what AF rears it’s ugly head & continues overnight. Now am in regular rhythm but tachycardia 120 - this has never happened to me before as always reverted to sinus 60.

Anyone any experience or advise please ?

Could have dropped into Atrial Tachycardia? If you have tried the usual Valsalva trick then maybe best to get an ECG (EKG to you ) done to see what is happening.

I live in UK & in DC for Christmas. Am fairly well controlled on Flecainide 200 mgs bd & Bisoprolol 2,5 am & 5 pm plus Rivaoxyban 20. I have a kardia which is now showing AF again as last night - tachycardia was around lunchtime here for several hours. I’m not distressed just relaxing & hoping for sinus to kick back in - had never seen tachy on my kindle before

Thanks

I have symptoms but had never experienced tachycardia in between AF & wondered if anyone else had & could give me advice or experience

One time I had 12 hours of hard a fib then my heart rate went regular but fast(120) fir an hour or two then slowed down to my regular rate of 60. My EP said I probably went in to atrial flutter . I didnt have an ekg as it didnt last long.

Make sure you drink enough on the flight back. I’ve had some tachy which then went into AF. Think they must be linked

I used to drop into Tachycardia quite often prior to AF and have it after for up to 3 days. With a HR of up to about 130/min I could function reasonably well but if exceeded that I had to rest. Drink plenty of water, rest and relax as much as possible and if you can, do some relaxation and breathing exercises. Do you take a heart rate drug?
