Update after Ablation on the 9th of December.

Hi all, Said I would keep you informed about my Ablation last Monday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. All went fine but woke up to my eye hurting like mad. Turns out have an ulcer on my eye. Still feel very tired and weak. Heart not playing up too much. Just a few ups and downs. Heart rate very low last night at 41 bpm. This made me very breathless but thank goodness only lasted a few minutes. Just going to take it slowly and do things when I can. Definitely not cooking the Christmas dinner. Thanks for all the help and advice I have received here. It really helped.

Hi Andy.

Recovery is still going well, touch wood. I felt so well on Christmas day I even made Christmas dinner for 7 people. Something I had said I wasn't going to do. Feel tired still sometimes if I do too much. So just rest and recover. I had a few episodes of fluttering but nothing too bad and never last long. At the moment I am having a bit of trouble with high BPM as I have stopped my Bisoprolol. I was told to just stop taking it after a month and I think that maybe they should have taken me off it gradually rather than just stop. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I just need to let my heart get used to change.

I would say everyone is different in their recovery. I think you just have to weigh things up yourself. Take it easy for the first 2 weeks. After that go at your own pace. If you feel tired rest. It can take months to recover fully for some.

Good luck with your ablation. Fingers crossed for you that your recovery goes well.
