Anyone had a reply from sanjay gupta on youtube?

Curious if anyone has ever had a reply from Sanjay gupta , a cardiologist on youtube who I emailed a while ago and never had a reply. He has been mentioned on this site so I know some people follow him. Idealy I should be able to ask an NHS cardiologist but I emailed them 3 weeks ago with no answer so I'm at a loss what to do. GP told me I know more than him so no luck there.

I know many who have had good feed back from Dr Gupta in the past but of course he may be on holiday. Remember that any reply can only be a general comment as he can't answer specific questions about individuals who are not his patient.

He works full time Sandoval, so it's impossible for him to answer the hundreds of worldwide emails he receives. I believe he does some private work and could chat to you via the telephone. He gives so much of his time freely that we really can't expect him to do more. He also does voluntary live chats on Facebook where absolutely anyone can ask him a question.

Some members on here have had replies, but that was a while back. At one point he made himself quite ill with all that he was trying to do.

Ahh you so caring about him. But I agree. You could always take a screen shot and put it on your wall. But he is tasty. 🤗

I have exchanged emails with him on general issues a couple of times and replies were quick, but it was at least two or more years ago. As others have said, his commitment is unquestionable but he has an enormous following (even bigger than BobD's!!), so these days, we may have to be more patient. Do not expect a direct consultation for the reasons Bob outlined.

Same as Flapjack for me too. I had an immediate reply around midnight to a query about three years ago - probably this bears out what Jean referred to. If you are a patient of the NHS cardiologist, his/her secretary may be able to get an answer for you.

Secretary asked me to send cardiologist an email. That was over 2 weeks ago and still no reply so thought I would try sanjay as he has been mentioned here before. Not having much luck.

You could message him on facebook if you "do" facebook facebook.com/yorkcardiology1/ or try one of the options on his website yorkcardiology.co.uk/

Agree with Bagrat - I think you would be much more likely to get a response. He does occasional ‘hangouts’ on FB so I would look for one of those.

I saw he does a 30 min convo for £75 but I only have a quick question so was trying to avoid as I only need 1 minute. Will try facebook. Thanks.

Perhaps a consultation with him may be best as the answer to one question often leads to ten more. Alternatively ask the good people on this site, there is a lot of experience here that may help but remember only your own EP/Cardiologist will know your case well enough to provide specific answers. Dr Gupta will try to get back to everyone he feels he could help but his workload worldwide is likely to be prohibitive to answering all questions.

I had a consultation with him via Facebook last year and whilst I was not told anything new, it was comforting to hear from a real live Cardiologist and he did put things into much better perspective - this will take more than one question.

I tried my cardiologist and never got a reply. I presume others had the same response from theirs before contacting dr gupta.

Keep emailing your cardiologist until he responds or pay for a consultation, don’t just leave it.

I failed to get a reply and am not that impressed!

I am surprised . I would not expect free answers but a 30 min Skype often sets your mind at rest.

And so say an awful lot of us!

I emailed him a couple of years ago got a reply same day. I saw a pic of him on FB yesterday getting an award for having thousands of followers on social media. Guess he is much busier these days, plus working full time. Don't give up he is very helpful .Good Luck.
