Wouldn’t we all benefit from such a system?

Really interesting. I was diagnosed four years ago and initially was part of a trial, drugs or ablation. I was only involved for a short time, and that was the last time I have had any contact with specialists in AF. My own doctor is very good but as my episodes are fairly infrequent and I am on warfarin if I visit the surgery for anything else my AF isn't even mentioned, apart from the time when I told my doctor I wanted to cut my flecainide to a PIP. I don't want to use resources more than necessary, but I do wonder if I should have some sort of periodical follow-up. This study seems to bear that out.
