Neither medical nor veterinary trained. Suggest you check the leaflet and follow the instructions regarding missing a dose. Probably best to under-dose rather than overdose. If possible, speak to a vet, if not, I’m guessing that encouraging them to drink as much water as possible and probably giving more food than usual will help absorb the medication and help it to be passed through the system. Obviously, keep an eye on them overnight and be prepared to make a trip to a vet if necessary. I”m guessing, but considering what dogs eat and drink, they have a tough constitution to cope with this and in a couple of days, you will be having a chuckle and taking some precautions to help prevent it from happening again.....let’s hope so...

My wife just writes the date on the packet as she gets hers out. I put my ones in a little plastic medicine cup the night before.

Hi Maisie, I did respond to you earlier but my post has disappeared. Do you have a 7 day box to keep your pills in? I bought mine from my pharmacy and without it now I'd never remember whether I'd taken them or not! I also make sure I have a glass of water in my hand so that they go from the box straight into my mouth.

I'm guessing that you took your pills without thinking about it. I'd give your kitchen floor a vacuum in the hope that if your beta blocker is on there and can't be seen, it will be sucked up.

Let us know if you find it please.

A seven day pill box is the only answer to this problem. I found that if i fill it up once a week that I can check back to see if i have missed anything that I should have taken. I keep my hobbies pills in there as well!! 😉

That's good to hear Maisie. Now make sure you get that 7 day pill box, so this doesn't happen again. x
