Can someone please explain what this means from my cardiologist please. I would like to be prepared with any questions when I see him next week;
On the 48-hour monitor, she was predominantly in sinus rhythm with first degree AV block, but she did have a few episodes of a narrow complex tachycardia.
Thank you.

In very simple language your heart rate was normal but there are some signs of conductivity problems ( the elctrical signals are not getting around you heart properly). Occasionally your heart races a bit.
That sounds pretty safe to me, not being a doctor, and I suspect you’ve got nothing important to worry about. Heart “block” sounds awful but I gather it is a very common conduction problem as we get older whereby there’s a tiny extra delay between the top and bottom of the heart beat signals. Tachycardia is a heart rate over 100bpm and, I read, is often of the kind yours shows.
I would ask your cardiologist if he has any idea of what is causing the problem. Mine was only interested in my heart issues and not what was creating them. It now seems that my hiatus hernia was the culprit but my cardiologist wasn’t remotely interested in finding that out. Thankfully my GP is wonderful!
