HR on Kardia

I know I am in AF have been since early evening checked my kardia cannot get a reading it’s going from 167 then 75 then nothing so comes up with undetectable reading !

I am guessing as in Af maybe it cannot read it as I am so new to this just wanted to see exact HR as I can feel my pulse is irregular!

It can, that is what it is for! You must be doing something wrong I think but without being with you I can't see what. It might be worth asking the Kardia techies if there is any reason why it wouldn't be able to read your pulse? And do tell us if you find out what the problem is X

Have you tried turning your phone/tablet off and on again or restarted the kardia app?

Maybe the battery needs changing?

Strange thing is it works ok for her husband so must be something Maisie is doing or her heart is doing? I wondered if it is possible for something in the body to upset the Kardia in the same way as some people stop wristwatches or get shocks from cars - you can see I can't bear an unsolved mystery 👽

Hi everyone I did get a reading saying in Af last night,still in Af this morning and no reading again but have to say the Hr is all over the show so guess it’s just that! Now to get ready for work feeling shattered thank you all for your replies

I think it would be a good idea if you could see a doctor today because your heart seems to be doing something unusual. Sorry we couldn't help, best wishes

I saw the DR on Monday and all was well,I work in a surgery so if I feel really bad will speak to one of the nurses thank you it’s always so nice to know you have people who understand on here

Try sitting in a different place, away from other computers etc. Sit still, and make sure you have your fingers firmly on the silver squares, with the kardia next to the phone (if it is not attached).

Hi, I think I should mention that in UK the word 'dick' isn't considered polite, perhaps you might use the quaint but inoffensive term 'dilly dally' instead? Sharing different customs and word usage is one of the interesting side roads of this forum.
