So, I took what I thought to be a routine Kardia reading this morning, and the result is all over the place. Though the Kardia still said NSR. See above.
I repeated the exercise immediately, twice, and both looked normal. I tried to post one of those but fear I'm too stupid to post multiple images.
My wife was sitting at the kitchen table when I took the first reading, and thinks she may have been jogging it or talking or otherwise moving.
So, have I turned into a fire breathing dragon overnight? Or is that what a Kardia reading looks like when someone else is sitting at the table and moving? Thanks.

Looks like interference to me. Try using hand sanitizer to moisten your fingers first and don't take these things so seriously. Why take a routine reading anyway? You will know when anything is wrong surely?
Bob, maybe a routine reading is what some people need, I did initially to get used to it & familiarise myself with my norms especially as I had no idea that I was in AF initially due to very mild symptoms. There’s more than one way….
Bet, I’d agree completely with Bob on interference. You can see that the beat appears to be in normal sinus rhythm within the trace even though it seemingly wanders around a bit. Nothing to worry about, I’ve regularly had much messier results than that. Other electronic devices or heavy power consumers can also interfere with the reading, if anything’s changed at your test place it could be the reason, even some man made fibre clothing? Best of luck, trial & error will sort this for you.
Any interference will show up on the trace, so it's better to be away from electronic sources and someone bumping the table. I find my talking to be enough to jiggle things too. Like the idea of a fire-breathing dragon, though . . . . .
If I understand you correctly, you're concerned about the ekg you posted, but the others you took looked 'normal'? The one posted probably has a little noise, but not enough to throw off the analysis of "normal sinus rhythm". This can happen even at the doctor's office. I don't think you have anything to be concerned about.
Jim
I use Kardia 6L and mine don't look anything like that. Maybe some sort of interference.
Agree with everyone else, the above trace shows a normal sinus rhythm with a bit of "noise" from movement, you have to keep totally still or the trace picks up movements from other muscle in your body. Sometimes even if you think you are still, if you're a bit distracted by talking to someone you might be subconsciously tensing some of your muscles
I get a LOT of Kardia reading like this, with the analysis coming back Normal, and a lot that look nice and steady and looking Normal that come back as Unclassified ! Really confuses me. And I haven’t the ability to interpret the graphs like so many on this forum seem able to do. I always remainnstill and quiet - almost always alone in the room, and am usually situated in the same areas of the house. I can have Normal results when I feel a bit ‘Afibby’ and Afib results when I feel fine. I sometimes feel like throwing my Kardia away !
I tried taking an ecg with KardiaMobile on my newly acquired i-pad (I have always used my i-phone). BIG MISTAKE!! Scared the hell out of me!!! Redid it with my phone, and it was picture perfect NSR. Apparently the i-pad has a different microphone system, or there was some unknown app running in the background. Even using the phone app though, any interference-even talking and moving-will produce seemingly bizarre results!
Now that I know that I'm not at death's doorstep, I'm going to try and figure out the issue with the i-pad.....the larger screen is nice for viewing.....except when it looks like this.......
