saw my consultant and after my cardiversion only lasted 2 mths ablations are out as it would take 3 or 4 willing to go and have another cardi version but with taking the drug amiodrone so I have a decision to be made I said it can cause thyroid problems but said that is the best option for me, also having a 24 hr h r m so loads of help required need answers as was told sooner things are done more chance of success p s im in wales

Amiodrone has many significant side effects! Search on this forum for amiodrone. There are alternatives which might be suitable, worth talking to your consultant.

I was offered long term amiodorone but reduced it. Cardioveraions dont work and no ablation. I've been on a host of other media for the last 8 years and doing ok.
