We have received an enquiry here at AF Association patient services, and I wonder if anyone here might have an answer.
This person takes rivaroxaban and has an ileostomy. Occasionally, when changing the appliance, there is slight bleeding. Does anyone else have that problem? If so, has your consultant advised a medication review?
Is this blood in faeces or is the ileostomy sore or ulcerated. My first port of call would be the stoma nurse to discuss it and quantify the amount of blood loss. A little blood goes a long way and can be scary. Are the stools themselves normal for the person concerned, does it accompany a change in diet? Sorry just questions not answers
Hi Bagrat. Gently curious- do you have a stoma, because of ileostomy? Not sure how to do a private chat. Would like to discuss some issues. I am new to A fib. Ed.
Sorry Hidden used to be a nurse. Now long retired. To do a private message click on 2 ballons third from left then start to write name when it pops up click on it et voila then write your message. Don't think I'll be much help but someone else might be.
