I hope Hidden will come on here soon, he's the person who will be able to advise you.
G'day mate,
Yeah, look I don't have HGV but do have a PCV - basically, same issues.
Now, bear with me as I work through this as my problems were nearly 10 years ago.
Once I filled the form in and returned it to DVLA I could have carried on bus driving but wasn't up to it. They then sent me a letter stating my licence was revoked. From the date of that letter I couldn't drive a bus ( nothing was said about my private car).
DVLA were pretty crap back in the day but in the context of medical stuff, they have lifted their game quite considerably nowadays.
Now, what I suggest you do is this .........
1) go to DVLA website, and in their search box type in.......
2) Medical Conditions, diasabilities and driving ..........
the contents of this section will cover " telling DVLA about a medical condition or disability, then What happens after you tell DVLA, then
What DVLA will decide, and finally ....
renewing or reapplying for your licence."
Next take time to read the bit on " Surrendering your licence". Most important this bit. So much depends on what your healthcare professional has stated to DVLA.
Have a crack at all that first and if you need to get back to me either in the public arena or send me a personal message by clicking on my user name, then click on message. If I can help further I will.

Hi there,
Just another thought overnight ........... Google ... DVLA Atrial Fibrillation, then click on Cardiovascular Disorders, then click on Arrythmias, it'll then give you an outline under Group 2 Bus/Lorry.
I am always cautious about advising people 'cos DVLA are constantly upgrading their criteria, and all my stuff was nigh on 10 years ago. Nevertheless, I still manage to pass my annual medicals - have to have them now 'cos I'm an old git.
Also DVLA have got much tighter in recent years 'cos of HGV and Bus accidents which have resulted in fatalities.
All the best,
John
thanks sent the form off to them i dont have any symptoms or any episodes it was picked up in a routine examination had the ecg and echocardiogram im now on warfarin and hbp tablets so fingers crossed
A few questions to ask yourself
Am I overweight?
is my waist half my height?
Do I eat a lot of fast food?
Do I get much exercise?
Am I putting weight on ?
How long have I had high blood pressure?
No easy answers but you can make changes?
