Hi all
Last night I went to bed and as I layed down I felt 2 strong beats. Sometimes I feel them as well when I bend over or I go from sitting down to making a quick movement. Does anyone else experience this and do you know what it is. Ectopic?

Try taking 800mg of magnesium daily from magnesium glycinate. 200mg each time. Will not give you diarrhoea. It works for me.
It is likely to be ectopics. Ectopic beats are extra or missed beats and are benign. I have also found that leaning or bending forward can make them happen.
I doubt if it is anything that you should worry about.

I’ve had these all my adult life. They are caused by the heart beat timing altering very slightly or by an extra beat forming, one caused by a slight electrical disturbance in the upper chambers of your heart. They are normal and safe - and very common indeed. Some people have hundreds a day. The doctor that first tested me for this told me he had that many each day - and wasn’t remotely worried!

I get hundreds of ectopics everyday myself. Very disconcerting at times. It happens a lot when I change positions. Getting up out of bed, going from sitting to standing, laying down after being up and on and on. But usually settles after a few minutes each time. Then I also get just the random ectopic anytime of day. No rhyme or reason. 😂
