As I have mentioned in my previous posts that I had epileptic seizure during my young ages for which I had to take AEPs for over 25 years. Now I am suffering from heart palpitations which is kept under control by medicines. Also suffered AF episodes in 2012. I have mentioned those in my past posts. Cardiologist telling me my heart parameters are normal. TSH, FT4 , sugar urea creatinine all are normal. ECG always sinus rhythm, ECHO normal, Angio normal, TMT once came positive so angio was done. On Telmisartan for hypertension, Eltroxin50, Ivabradine 5, Clopidogrel 75. Can anybody tell me is there any connection between the previous epileptic seizure and heart rhythm disorder?

I think the lack of replies indicates that no-one can tell you. Have you asked your doctors?

I think we search for answers to the WHY question when it is near impossible to know and how would it help you knowing? There are a few known causes - thyroid being one - which consider AF a symptom as once they are treated the AF will often go away.

AF is such a mongrel condition and many people struggle with a diagnosis because when it is paroxysmal, comes and goes, you can bet that it will be gone whenever an ECG machine is attached. That is why many of us purchased our own mobile ECG device - Kardia (old name Alivecor).

So many variables from lifestyle, alcohol consumption, co-morbidities to just IS.
