I finally had my VA and the doc had to burn 3 or 4 spots.. It was quite painful but afterward I had to stay overnight until my heart settled, since then it's been 3 days the 1st 2 days I felt like a million dollars.. But this morning I woke up with a lot of coughing chest pain and phlegm.. Is this just the symptoms of the ablation coming back at me? Will it go away?

I had Atrial ablation, but I can not remember that I had any serious coughing or pain, except for the blue/purple color where the "probes" went in at my groin area.

I felt very fragile and did not move very much for a few days.

Why was the Ablation painful?

I had a dreadful cough after my ablation. I was really afraid that it would trigger AF. I had had a general anaethetic but no TOE. The coughing went on for weeks. I had no pain at any stage.
